We got acquainted with the distributor itself. Speaking with Rafal Mrzygłocki, we asked why they chose the GLP brand as their first manufacturer, and what sets it apart. In addition, in the next two recordings, we asked Jan Bakiewicz, a representative of AV Light, about two selected products from the German manufacturer and took a look at the new DVT Light brand.
GLP Impression X5 and JDC-1
Impression is a series of Wash devices based on an RGBL light source with color mixing based on the proprietary iQ.Gamut algorithm. The X5 is the largest device in the family, equipped with 19 LEDs of 40W each, a zoom range of 3.5° to 60° and built-in pixel effects on the dial. The second device, the JDC-1 is a hybdyrda that may not be new, but deserves recognition. What other manufacturers have been producing for a year, GLP already did five years ago. A hybrid floodlight with strobe equipped with 12 RGB sections (1320 pixel resolution) and 12 white sections (216 pixels) in the form of a tube going through the center of the array. Despite its considerable size, the device weighs only 11.6kg.
DVT Light
DVT Light is a new brand on the market, which currently offers mainly strobes and floodlights. Interestingly, since their launch, the devices have been equipped with a proprietary patented active diffuser system. Thanks to the technology used, we can change the angle of the beam even though the devices do not have a zoom system.
