The Avolites control system is not very popular in Poland, but this does not mean that the software is lacking. On the contrary, Avolites Titan is an advanced lighting control system developed over the years in which new functionalities are added all the time.
During the Stage of Tomorrow 2025, I had the opportunity to take a closer look at the console and dig out its basic functions which I will simply describe to you. Because I think it is a system worthy of attention and goes in a very good direction.

Some examples of Avolites devices:

From left:
- D7 - a small console with huge capabilities, fits into hand luggage on an airplane and, together with Peli cas, weighs no more than 30kg (in peli about 23kg, without peli 17kg). It retains the same functionality as any Titan software-based device. Available in two versions - the "330" which has 3 main screens and 30 sliders, and the "215" has 2 main screens and 15 sliders.
- T3 - the smallest in the family "wing" which requires a computer to work. Its advantage is the greatest mobility, together with a laptop it fits into a backpack. Basically, it is able to output 16 DMX lines over the network or 4 directly through XLR connectors.
- D9 - one of the largest consoles. Like the D7, it has two variants, the 215 and the 330.
Software and visualizer - intuitive and qualitative
Avolites hardware is powered by Titan software. During Stage of Tomorrow 2025 and 2024 I had a chance to "poke around" and I must admit that the first user experience is really pleasant, the whole thing works fast and responsive. If you are familiar with other systems it is very likely that you will stand and know how to do the basic things.
A huge advantage of Titan-based devices is the built-in Capture visualizer, which, as we know, is used by almost half the industry worldwide. Here it is in a somewhat truncated form because without the project prepared in Capture we can't insert objects like grating, platforms, etc. Only we can place devices without any problem. We buy a console or wing and can do all the preprogramming in a good-looking visualizer.
In order not to be too colorful, I can certainly count among the shortcomings of the software mainly the right bar with buttons marked A, B, C, D, E, F, using them to switch through the System or Disk menu. Apparently, it is intic but a lot of clicking and rummaging also often takes a long time to find the desired function.

What about the effects? - You can quickly as well as longer, but in your own way!
Titan has three main effects editors are:
- Shape generator - the simplest and fastest effector, it works best for head movements, we can easily make circles, eights or other shapes on it. Of course, we have at our disposal parameters like phase delay, speed, repetitions, etc. Of course, we can also use it to create effects for dimmer or color, although for this the next generator works better.
- Keyframe shapes - this is where things start to get interesting, here we have the ability to save any effect waveform in keyframes along with the transition (sine, linear, etc.) This gives great possibilities in creating various flyouts or other things when several parameters of the device work together.
- Pixel mapper - a content generator for pixel devices or a player of pre-prepared visuals to be superimposed on device layouts. When generating content, we have many parameters at our disposal, you can also create multiple layers with different shapes, gradients or other quirks

Prism - a new approach to mediaserver
Avolites Prism is an interesting concept for a media server. Instead of buying a big rack-mounted mare for out-of-pocket money, all you need is a simple laptop with Prism software.
The whole thing retains the functionality associated with Titan integration, for example, when you upload clips to Prism, in a Titan-based console you see their thumbnails so you don't have to agonize over creating a million triggers for each clip just have everything at hand at once.

The software has a pretty clear UI and is easy to use - including the common room, you can quickly become a multimedia implementer without spending extra cash!
Summary
Avolites is certainly slowly starting to chase the competition with the functionality of its solutions. The system is very powerful while maintaining intuitiveness, as I had the opportunity to see for myself. Of course, it's based on first impressions, so the further into the woods it gets, the harder it can be. - Nevertheless, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the system.
