It seems that after the great success of the Cobra, Ayrton wants to enter the market with a bigger sister. The Mamba, as it is called, is one of the most advanced searchlights on a laser source on the market. The device has an almost countless number of functions and effects.

What are we dealing with here?
Mamba is powered by a powerful white laser source of unknown power. All we know is that the entire device draws a maximum of 800W, so without motors and the rest, I'm guessing the source's power oscillates at 600W. The color temperature is at 9,000 degrees Kelvin, and the output brightness is 2,600,000 lux from 10 meters. The light beam comes out through a large 250mm lens.

Colors
CMY mixing system and a color dial with 15 slots including several CTO filters, 2 green subtraction filters and 2 multicolor slots. In addition, we have 3 dichroic sections of the animation dial for additional effects.

Gobos and effects
The effects in this device are in abundance. I myself would probably be able to use 30% of them. Specifically, here we have as many as 92 gobos on two shields. The static shield contains 80 gobos. You will probably ask how Ayrton packed so many of them there? It's all thanks to an additional motor that moves the shield. On the static shield we also have integrated animation.

The prisms are mounted on 2 discs with 4 prisms per disc. Of course, the prisms can be stacked with each other to create even more interesting effects. In addition, we have 2 frost filters, standard light and heavy.
Optics, motion, dimensions and control
The Mamba has a zoom range of 0.7 to 15 degrees. The optical system is built with as many as 13 lenses. As mentioned earlier, the light comes out of a large 250mm lens.

Movement in both pan and tilt is unlimited, a pretty cool addition for making creative effects. We have to admit that it is also quite an unprecedented feature in this type of device.
The housing, of course, is made with IP65 technology also Mamba is not afraid of rain or other weather conditions. The dimensions of the device are 404mm W 749mm H 366mm D. Weight-wise it is quite nice, 41kg with such capabilities and power is really a good result.
Mamba has the usual DMX, of course, but also Ethernet and a wireless receiver from LumenRadio. There's no shortage of RDM, either.
Summary
Ayrton Mamba is, at least on paper, one of the most advanced laser searchlights on the market. What do you guys think about it? Do you have ideas on how to use such a device? Let us know in the comments.
