JBL Professional True Wireless Stereo

TWS integration with JBL Professional portable sound systems maximizes their ability to provide a true stereo listening experience without being limited by wires or cables. This is accomplished by streaming the selected audio source to TWS-enabled JBL speakers via Bluetooth.

TWS is now included and available off-the-shelf at no extra charge via a firmware update for the JBL EON ONE MK2, PRX ONE and EON700 portable PA systems. TWS is already a feature included with the EON ONE Compact speakers.

We had the opportunity to speak with Brandon Knudsen, product manager for portable speakers at JBL Professional.

How would you describe the sound quality of TWS compared to a wired connection?

At the height of Bluetooth's limitations, there will always be trust and latency issues. Currently, there is simply no substitute for a wired connection. But Bluetooth used in this way, can at least operate near the standards you'd expect and usually under good conditions, generate a well-defined stereo image.

How will TWS enhance the mobility of performers and presenters?

JBL portable PA systems are ideal for any scenario mobile professionals can dream up. Our speakers are easy to transport and simple to set up, anywhere - even without a power source. Using our JBL EON ONE MK2, as well as future select JBL PA systems with TWS and battery power, there's really no place you can't use it.

The ability to attach TWS to these systems only expands the number of applications available. From a wedding reception to an impromptu DJ set to a karaoke competition, the TWS stereo system now offers professionals the ability to enhance sound quality and mobility.

Which JBL portable PA speakers are available with TWS streaming?

Professionals who use the EON ONE MK2, PRX ONE and EON700 systems only need to update the firmware via our JBL Pro Connect app for iOS and Android to take advantage of TWS streaming.
