The perpetual innovations in various lighting control software make it quite a challenge for implementers who are "coming down" from two. Should they go with 3, or maybe AVO? MagicQ? Blue doesn't help either...
ChamSys has just unveiled a new beta in which we get a long-awaited feature. In a flurry of other enhancements, we finally got a visual controller for knife parameters in Smart Profile devices.
You have to admit that they flew all over the place with the look of the knife visualization and it looks something fickle. To put it mildly, it doesn't sit very coherently with the layout of the whole software for me, but it's cool that it's moving forward like this. The control itself, on the other hand, is very advanced.
In addition to knife controls, the new beta will also include:
- New cue transition effect "Fizzle" and "Sparkle"
- New panel views for Stadium for PC version
- Shared regions between pages for exec view
- Easier lock screen selection from Setup/View Settings/Mode item
- New plugin for control via QSC Q-Sys protocol
