We have always associated a tracking system with something complicated or with large devices. It is safe to say that Zactrack has just broken this trend by presenting the Zactrack mini system.
It is a tracking system that fits in a briefcase the size of a briefcase! With the company's latest device from now on, the tracking system is available in virtually any space and to any user. Small clubs, trade show booths, community centers, individual performers or events with smaller budgets are the ones this product is aimed at.
The manufacturer says the Zactrack mini is a compact tracking system for every pocket that can be single-handedly set up in minutes in any space.
The kit consists of a main unit. It performs four functions - a radio antenna, a server to operate the system, a wireless access point and a DMX gateway. The device has built-in DMX sockets so it can handle up to 64 smart devices.
The kit also includes five smaller antennas for mounting on stage, which allow tracking in a space of up to 15×15 meters. Tracking is done in 2.5D space, which means that it follows a plane, and the height is set manually from the control level. In addition, we get five transmitter pendants with which we calibrate the system and use them for tracking.
Importantly, the Zactrack mini can be used as a standalone control via a special tablet app. It can also work with standard lighting consoles, leaving the ability to control via the chosen system on the operator's side. An additional advantage, too, is that the entire system runs on battery power.
I was impatiently waiting for a device of this type. Over the years of working with a variety of artists who play in a whole cross-section of venues (from small clubs to large outdoor stages) and are very fond of moving around on stage, I have been missing such a solution that can be used virtually anywhere. I sincerely hope to "live test" this system.
