Who among us does not at least associate the GLP brand. The German manufacturer associated mainly with large-scale lighting equipment has not quite caught on in Poland over the years. However, thanks to the newly established distributor AV Light, there is a chance to spread German products.
Before we get to the brands themselves that AV Light has at the moment, let's take a look at the company itself. It is a distribution company founded by Rafal Mrzyglocki, who also owns and is responsible in his part for the success of ARAM and A-Rental. There is no denying that the aforementioned two companies have been extremely successful in the market. They are recognizable brands, not only within the country, but internationally. This gives me hope that the brands that fall under the wing of AV Light will become popular in our country. That would be nice - because it promises to be interesting.
German Light Products
The first brand to enter the AV Light catalog is the famous GLP. GLP - German Light Products was founded by Udo Künzler. The company was founded in 1994 to develop a spotlight that was innovative for the time. It was to combine already known technology from popular scanners with a moving base. In peasant terms, it made a prelude to the moving devices we know. The device was to be called Patend Light. However, due to the very complicated technological process and the high cost of creating the device, the first device released a year after the business was founded was the STARTEC 2000 scanner. The release and, in a way, the success of the first GLP-branded device allowed the company to complete its research and, in 1996, show the world at London PLAS the "Patend Light," an innovation that pushed GLP forward in the extreme.

To this day, GLP continues to develop new products at its headquarters in Karlsbad, Baden-Württemberg. The brand's portfolio includes spot, wash, beam moving devices such as the GLP Impression X5 Wash, Hybrid GT-1 FL or Fusion EXO beam 10. In addition, the brand has strobes, floodlights, led strips or other wonders in its catalog of devices. You can see the full list on the manufacturer's website or ask by email for the catalog of the new distributor on this page.
What has always intrigued me about GLP's mobile devices is certainly their external appearance and the design of the mobile devices. The manufacturer relies on a very small base, and the entire control panel is moved to the arm of the device. I don't hide this looks quite unusual if you put it in line with all the popular devices we have on the market.
DVT Light, a new brand of "old-timers."
Another brand that AV Light has taken under its wing is DVT Light. This is a name that I personally was not familiar with until "AV" boasted about taking over distribution. But I justify myself - I had the right. The brand was announced last September. The founder and originator is Peter Johansen, the name of the legend. Co-founder of the Martin brand, SGM, an engineer whose credits include the MAC 600, Roboscan, G-Spot and P-5.

We currently have 3 products available on the manufacturer's website, but one is particularly interesting. The PJ-5 RGBW floodlight, equipped with 30 25W LEDs - but that's not the most interesting part. The device is 100% flicker free with no need to manually adjust the refresh rate. In addition, the device is equipped with a proprietary active diffuser system, which we can adjust to our needs without additional physical overlays. I don't have the faintest idea how it works, we'll find out everything during Prolight&Sound. Currently, a patent document has been filed for this technology and is awaiting approval. It sounds interesting.
A new distributor that does not take over established brands, but tries to bring new ones to the market is certainly something interesting. I sincerely hope to see the devices represented by AV in real life and real action. I will follow this topic with curiosity. AV Light from this place I wish you good luck and every success!
