GLP with a record number of launches.

As per GLP, of course.

It seems to me that the GLP brand needs no introduction to anyone. Certainly since its distribution was handled by AV Light. Because it was then that the German manufacturer began to be realistically noticeable on the Polish market. After all, that's what we mainly work on.

Although the brand's slogan is to spend rarely but well, this year they went crazy with the number of new devices. - The question begs itself, haven't they started a pointless race in the number of annual releases?

GLP Mad Maxx

Let me start with a kind of absurdity. Because how can you call a device that weighs a net 195kg? Although, as they say, everything has its place in the world. This monster is equipped with 19 white LED chips of 90W each.

On the left Rafal Mrzygłocki - president of AV Light, on the right Mad MAXX - fb source: AV Light.

The device generates a 75cm narrow beam of light, with an angle of 1.6°. This categorizes the device in the "SkyScanner" category - that is, a nice flying through the clouds with a powerful light beam. Interestingly, the coloring of the beam is done with a mechanical color dial, not a blending mode.

You have to admit that the dimensions are impressive and I would treat it as a curiosity. Because the price will probably also be interesting. Rather, the recently popular slogan "small several thousand zlotys" will not apply here. I toss the data sheet (click).

GLP Creos

This is probably the manufacturer's biggest launch of the year. That is, another floodlight for the collection. This time, however, not a "pixel" standard with a matrix, but more of a wash-bream.

The Creos is equipped with 18 led meshes of 40w each and RGBL color mixing mode. There is also a motorized zoom with a range of 4.3° to 52° and a tilt motion of 240°.

All enclosed in an IP65-rated aluminum housing, the design itself is also worth noting. The meshes are arranged in such a way that when the devices are joined together they form a uniform line - the technology has been named "Pitch perfect".

The device, although brand new, managed to show up in the studio of "The Voice of Poland" - how it fared you can judge for yourself here.

Fusion EXO Hybrid 40

That is to say, GLP joins the race in the "small-sized lamp for everything" category. In a nutshell - 380W LED motor (white), 3.8° to 46° zoom range, two gobo dials (rotating and static), linear and circular prism, two frost filters (soft and hard). On top of all this, there is a color dial, CMY mixing mode and CTO filters.

The whole thing is elegantly encased in an IP65 rating. I'm slowly beginning to think that IP65 is becoming the standard, certainly with this manufacturer.

The device fits into the canon of what we get on paper from other manufacturers in the "hybrid" category. As for me, it is an addition to the catalog, not a "breakthrough". On the other hand, as if it doesn't sound trivial - the brand's devices are known for their high build quality and long durability, so it can stir up the competition, if it doesn't kill with the price.

A full note on the device can be found here.

All the rest

In my series of summaries I promised myself that each manufacturer would get two or three paragraphs max, so as not to kill you with the amount of text. I thought GLP would embrace this without a problem, and it turns out that this year they have surpassed themselves with the number of new releases.

Also worth ticking off is the insertion of the JDC-1 on a moving base, and so we got the GLP JDC Burst 1, or the addition of IP65 to the familiar impression X5 Wash.
