My plan for the first day of Stage of Tomorrow.

Follow in my footsteps!

As with any large event with multiple stages, it's a good idea to have a plan in place so you don't bounce off the wall and actually make the most of your time. The Stage of Tomorrow is an event that is packed with a variety of topics that are covered on three stages.

Stage Inspirations, Academy and Discussions. Unfortunately, to fit everything into two days some of the lectures or workshops overlap. Since I'm going to this event, I made a plan for myself - well, why not make this plan available. Maybe someone will find it useful...(full agenda at this link)

April 8 (day 1)

9:15 - Stage Academy - "Catch your breath! Mindfulness for Stage People " - To understand the title of this lecture we need to delve into what "mindfulness" is. It is nothing more than our mindfulness and ability to live through experiences in the here and now. Which is extremely important for a healthy mental state. Especially in our industry, where we are exposed to many tough situations. The lecture will be given by Dawid Bednarski.

9:45 - Inspiration Stage - "Drone Show: the sky is not the limit... the sky is your story!" - Probably many of you have seen drone shows, consisting of countless of these electric mosquitoes, with lighting installed for the purpose of visualizing shapes in the sky. Katarzyna Amborska and Dawid Palka from the pioneering company ASTRANATE, which realizes the largest drone show in Poland, will tell us about this technology.

10:00 - Inspiration Stage - "From fiction to reality: How cyberpunk cities materialize thanks to screens".- The title doesn't tell me much, but I like cyberpunk, and Damian Rezner will talk about the technology.

11:00 - Stage Inspiration - "Introduction to Notch - Interactive performance, real-time rendering and high-quality video - for all screens & stages". - Notch is a powerful tool for creating interactive content, including real-time VFX. An introduction to the software will be presented by Arminas Kazlauskas, chief trainer of notch.one.

11:30 - Academy Stage - How is it done? A realistic light design, concept and detail presentation. - You'll have to take a break from Notch, but I recommend going to this presentation. Bogumil Palewicz and Artur Szyman will talk about the secrets of their projects, how, what, where and why.

14:00 - Scene Inspirations - "Wizard of Tomorrow's Scene". - Awards Gala. The second edition of the competition, which will recognize companies, individuals or organizations in 5 categories. Light, Sound, Image, Design, Young Talent.

14:15 - Stage Inspiration - "Designing for big scale shows - A glimpse on an efficient workflow". - The lighting designer of such stars as Adele, Phil Collins, and The Rolling Stones will talk about his work. Roland Greil is also one of the co-designers of the lighting for the Rammstein band's latest stadium tour.

17:00 - Stage Inspirations - "Painting with light - the creative process, inspirations and tehnologies". - Gwidon Wydrzynski, lighting designer and executive producer of many concerts throughout Poland, will talk about his work. Responsible for the visuals of such artists as Taco Hemingway, Krzysztof Zalewski, Kuban, PRO8L3M, Sokol, Kuba Badach, Pezet, Margaret and Schafter. One of the founders and coordinators of the Mech.Creative group

I will add a plan for the second day to the same calendar!

Summary of day one

That's how we reached the end of this crazy day - there is of course much more on the agenda, but I chose what interested me the most. Let's not forget that there's also an exhibition area well, and you have to eat something. Drink coffee, chat.

Remember not to wear yourself out on the night of Monday-Tuesday, because the second day will be just as intense, and I will throw in the plan for April 9 in the next text!
