Rebel Profile from Elation

Elation Professional has launched a new series of fixtures, the Rebel Profile. These LED floodlights are designed to meet the requirements in both indoor and outdoor applications, with IP65 certification for dust and water resistance.

General view

The Rebel Profile immediately attracts attention with its design, which is quite compact for Elation and all those big work oxen. The light output declared at 22,000 lumens using a 500W LED engine with a color temperature of 6500K.

As for movement, its range is given as pan 540° and tilt 270°, with an option for infinite pan - 360° rotation.

The device offers CMY mixing and CTO linear color correction (2400K), which enables a wide color palette. The color wheel contains 7 dichroic filters, including two filters with high color rendering index (CRI 80 and 90) and a UV filter, which increases the possibilities of creating visual effects.

Gobos, prisms, effects

Rebel Profile, like most hybrid devices, has quite a selection of visual effects. The device has two gobos wheels: one with 7 rotating glass gobos and the other with 8 static glass gobos.

The animation wheel rotates a full 360° in both directions, adding dynamic motion effects. Two prisms - a 4-facet circular and a 6-facet linear - offer additional light manipulation possibilities.

Effects also include variable iris with pulsating effects, two frost filters (soft and hard), shutter, and LED refresh control via DMX from 900 to 25kHz

With the device in Profile type, of course, we also have on board four rotary framing blades made with full blackout technology and with the ability to index the entire dial within +/- 60°. All attributes controlled in 16-bit.

The Rebel Profile comes with practical accessories for easy installation and use. Buyers receive two omega brackets to ensure stable mounting of the device, a safety cable for extra security, and a certified power cable with IP65 rated for harsh environments.
